Dr. Rajasingham

Dr. Rajasingham

Shusila Rajasingham, M.D. is Board certified in Child Neurology with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and in Pediatrics with the American Board of Pediatrics.  She is a Active Member of the American Academy of Neurology.

Dr. Rajasingham has been has been in private practice in Pediatric Neurology since 1998.  From 1998-2002 she practiced as a Child Neurologist in Frederick, MD, and in 2002 she moved her office to the Shady Grove area.  She has privileges at Shady Grove Hospital, and Suburban Hospital.

Dr. Rajasingham completed her Child Neurology fellowship at  Children’s National Medical Center/George Washington University Hospital during 1995-1998. 

From 1989-1995 she was on the faculty of  Children’s National Medical Center, in Washington DC, as a Developmental Pediatrician in the Departments of Neonatology and Pediatrics and was concurrently Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University

Dr. Rajasingham is a 1978 graduate of the  University of Adelaide School of Medicine, in Adelaide, Australia and won the Commonwealth University Scholarship. She interned at the  Royal Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide, Australia, and was a resident at  Adelaide Women's and Children’s Hospital (at that time called Adelaide Children's Hospital) from 1978-1979. In 1980 She was the Medical Officer in charge of the Aboriginal Medical Services in Adelaide, and later was the Pediatric Registrar at  Alice Springs Hospital in Alice Springs, Australia.  In Australia, she has also lived in Darwin and Canberra.

Her US pediatric residency was at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore MD from 1981-1984. From 1984-1987 she practiced as a pediatrician in Greenbelt MD. Thereafter, from 1987-1989, she completed a fellowship in Developmental Pediatrics at Georgetown University Hospital.

Dr. Rajasingham lives with her family (including two dogs) in  Bethesda, Maryland.

The Washingtonian magazine has repeatedly named Dr. Rajasingham as a 'Top Doctor', most recently in its 2010 listing.
